Southern Maryland Boot Scooters

The Southern Maryland Boot Scooters is a volunteer organization with no paid employees. All team members - including our leader and instructor - donate their time. And while we sometimes receive an honorarium, we do not charge a fee to perform or teach line dancing at events.

We have annual expenses of approximately $2400 for items such as team shirts, music, printing, workshops, our sound system, and our website, and our only source of income is donations.

Please consider making a monetary contribution or providing items for one of the gift baskets we create and raffle off during the year. The Southern Maryland Boot Scooters is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your gift is tax deductible.

Because so many of our group members' families have been affected by Alzheimer's Disease, each year we form a team to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. After meeting our expenses, we contribute any excess funds to our team's fundraising efforts for the Walk.
